These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Redefined Spines website, web application, and related services (together, the "Services"), operated by Redefined Spines LLC, a Colorado limited liability company ("we," "us"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Redefined Spines is developing a shelf display device that renders your digital books as typography-style book spines. The hardware product has not shipped and is not yet for sale. The Services currently include a free web application for organizing and displaying your reading library, and a founding-reader interest list. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a device, a pre-order, or a promise of a ship date.
You may create an account to save your library. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Your library data (titles, authors, reading status, display preferences) remains yours. You grant us the limited license needed to store, sync, and display that data to you and — only if you enable social features — to people you explicitly connect with.
If you upload any image or content, you represent that you own it or have the right to use it. We respond to copyright notices under the DMCA (see our designated agent registration) and enforce a repeat-infringer policy, up to account termination.
Don't misuse the Services: no unauthorized access, scraping at abusive rates, interfering with other users, uploading unlawful content, or attempting to circumvent security or rate limits.
Social features (sharing what you're reading with people who follow your code) are optional and off by default. You control what is shared and can stop sharing at any time.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" during this early period, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redefined Spines LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data or profits, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, refundable holds are refunded.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes affecting reservations or payments, notify the email on your account. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.
